How many times a day do you see your kids slouched around a screen? They may be in the midst of an adrenaline-pumping epic battle, a fruit-ninja slice, or an angry bird slingshot, but besides a twitching thumb or two, their bodies are not moving.
Larysa DiDio to the rescue! Celebrity trainer, Parenting magazine fitness editor, and co-author of the book Sneaky Fitness: Fun Foolproof Ways To Slip Fitness Into Your Child’s Everyday Life, Larysa will discss the best ideas from over 100 games and activities she developed to get any kid off the couch.
Larysa’s fitness facility, PFX, in Pleasantville, NY, has the distinction of being one of the first gyms to offer classes specifically tailored to kids. “Boot Camp, Baby!” and “Get Fit for Prom!” have attracted national sponsorships from Canyon Ranch and Lara Bar, among others. Along with her work with families, Larysa regularly trains celebrities as well as professional and Olympic athletes.
In 2008, she created Get Fit with Larysa, an innovative fitness DVD for tween girls designed to build confidence and self-esteem. Because of her expertise in working with young girls, Larysa often contributes to Girls Life magazine and has become the “unofficial” fitness-badge trainer for the Girl Scouts of America. She is also Health Ambassador for “Best Bones Forever,” the government’s healthy bones campaign for girls. In addition, you can see Larysa starring in two exercise DVDs from Redbook.

Great ideas for staying fit. My kids love jumping rope so much they joined a competitive jumprope team. They also love to visit those big warehouses full of trampolines like http://www.jumpskyhigh.com but we live about 4 hours from the nearest one. We're sure to hit it when we pass though!
